Project Monitoring and Evaluation

The Borrower is required to report the Project Development Objective (PDO) indicators to the World Bank every six months. In this context, we’ve conducted research related to appropriate Project Development Objectives (PDOs), and have determined basic progress indicators. During the project implementation period, progress on the PDOs and basic indicators on medium-term results will be reported every six months.

The project will conduct capacity building workshops with key urban transport professionals to develop a comprehensive framework for urban transport planning and management. These workshops will encompass transport policy, road safety, as well as climate resilience. A total of 1000 people will be trained over the span of one month.

The following indicators measure progress towards the PDOs

Develop a comprehensive framework for sustainable urban mobility in Ulaanbaatar

PDO 1. Establishment of a comprehensive framework for sustainable urban mobility in Ulaanbaatar

Reduce congestion on selected transport corridors

PDO 2a. Travel time by buses during peak hours on selected transport corridors

PDO 2b. Travel time by cars during peak hours on selected transport corridors

Improve road safety on selected transport corridors

PDO 3. Fatalities and serious injuries from road traffic crashes on selected transport corridors

Address climate resilience on selected transport corridors
