Among more than 5,000 citizens and business representatives of the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 27th, 29th, 30th, 31st, 37th, and 43rd khoroos of the Songino Khairkhan District, a public consultation was held and the detailed presentation about the project was made between September 5 and September 8, 2023, in cooperation with the PMO and the consulting team of FinnOC and MCPCgr companies from Finland, which provide design consulting services. During the consultation, more than 200 feedback were received from the representatives. Participants’ questions were answered directly during the meeting, and participants’ suggestions were sorted and studied to see whether they could be included in the street design.
The discussion, conducted within the framework of the World Bank’s environmental and social standards, is very special in that it enables citizens’ opinions to be reflected in the drawing stage for construction projects.
In order to adapt the construction project to the needs of the public and to coordinate it with technical solutions, it is essential to hold consultations in other construction works in the future, and further, it is necessary to organize meetings to reduce the environmental and social risks that will occur during the construction and execution stages of the project.
