A public consultation was held among the residents and businesses of the affected khoroos by the Yarmag New Road Project







As part of the preliminary engineering design work for the “New Yarmag Road” complete street project which is planned to start from Naadamchid Road to Ölziit Road in the territories of Khoroos 8, 21, and 23 of Khan-Uul District, a public consultation was organized on June 25, 2025, to provide information to local residents and businesses and to gather feedback on the preliminary design. The consultation was attended by representatives from the Governor’s Office of Khan-Uul District, officials from Khoroos 8, 21, and 23, and approximately 150 citizens and business representatives. Feedback and suggestions from the public were collected to improve the design.
The consulting services for the design work are jointly implemented by Intercontinental Consultants and Technocrats Pvt. Ltd. from the Republic of India and ICT Sain Consultants LLC from Mongolia. The team leader, Mr. Sandeep Bhattacharjee, delivered a presentation. During the consultation, key elements of the design were introduced, including the right of way, bicycle lanes, bus stops, pedestrian walkways, street lighting, drainage structures, and green zones.
In addition, environmental and social specialists from the consulting firm presented potential environmental and social impacts that may arise during construction, along with mitigation measures to reduce noise, dust, and other disruptions. As a result of the consultation, participants expressed their support for the road work and their willingness to cooperate.
To enhance public access to project information, and ensure timely resolution of grievances, feedback boxes were handed over to each khoroo during the consultation. Citizens can now submit their feedback in writing at their local khoroo office, as well as via phone or online channels.
